Urgent Care Center
Get care for a non-life-threatening illness or injury that requires immediate care. Many urgent care centers have walk-in appointments and shorter wait times than the emergency room (ER). You can find an urgent care center near you using our nationwide directory.
In the case of a medical emergency, immediately call 911 or go to your nearest ER.
Do not hesitate to seek immediate care in true emergencies, such as difficulty breathing or moving, poisoning, signs of a stroke or possible heart attack.
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
If you or someone you know needs help right now, please call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Call, text or chat 988 for free and confidential support 24/7. Trained counselors will listen, provide support and connect you to additional resources if necessary. You can also call 1-800-237-TALK (8255).
Depending on the type of care you require, you may need prior approval, precertification, or both. We review the service or treatment to ensure it is medically necessary. If you do not get pre-approval, we may reduce or deny your benefit.
In most cases, your doctor or facility will submit your approval requests. However, you should always ask your provider if they have contacted us and provided the information we need—you are responsible for ensuring that your care is approved. You can call the number on the back of your member ID card to see if we have received the request.
