Four Ways to Save Money This Fall
Saving money is always a good thing. And a new season marks a great opportunity to take a hard look at your finances.
Health care spending is one area where you can often find extra savings. There are two easy ways you can do that. First, get familiar with your benefits and make sure you’re making full use of them. Second, see what tools and resources are available to you.
As an FEP member, you have access to tools and resources that are designed to improve your financial health. Here are four that you can start with to check that you’re making full use of them.
Wellness Incentive Program
Nothing beats reaching a healthy goal. Not only do you get the satisfaction of achieving something major, you also improve your health in the process.
To make your healthy milestones even more celebration-worthy, our Wellness Incentive Program rewards eligible members for taking steps to improve their health.*
The first step in the program is the Blue Health Assessment (BHA). Just answer some simple questions about your health and it’ll recommend an action plan that’s personalized for you. Eligible members can receive $50 on their MyBlue® Wellness Card the first time they take the BHA each year.
The next step in the program is the Online Health Coach (OHC). After you’ve received a plan from the BHA, the OHC helps you set goals and track your progress. You can earn rewards for reducing stress, losing weight, exercising more, feeling happier and eating better. You may also be able to earn rewards and other incentives for managing chronic conditions, like asthma, heart disease, heart failure, hypertension and COPD.
Fitness Your Way
The benefits of being active are priceless, but the cost of signing up for a gym can be anything but that. Fitness Your Way by Tivity Health can help you save on gym memberships. You pay just $19 to enroll and a $19 monthly fee, and you’re able to visit thousands of participating fitness locations nationwide. The best part? No long-term contracts.
Prescription Drug Cost Tool
Taking prescriptions is an important part of managing conditions and living well. Unfortunately, the costs of prescriptions can be high. We’re committed to helping you find lower costs for your medications. One way we do that is with our Prescription Drug Cost Tool. It lets you quickly check drug costs, see if a drug is covered under your plan and compare costs across all three of our plans. Plus, it shows you if lower-cost options are available.
Blue365®
Your health is a complex picture—but budgeting for it shouldn’t have to be. Blue365 offers members discounts on everything from fitness gear to travel and healthy eating to family products.
It’s completely free to join and the deals are handpicked from your favorite top national and local retailers. So, what’s the catch? There isn’t one! In fact, there’s no limit to the amount of deals you can redeem.
The savings don’t stop there
We’re committed to help you improve your health and save money along the way. We’ve covered some important tools and resources here, but that’s just the start. Visit our Incentives and Discounts page to see how else we can help you save.
*You must be the contract holder or spouse, 18 or older, on a Standard or Basic Option Plan to earn incentive rewards.
